3.1. What kinds of community resources and referrals are typically needed by families with young children ?

Some community resources and referrals that are needed by families are housing, food, and social services firstly. They also need access to medical, dental and mental health resources. They also need services for children with special needs and/or language assistance.

3.2. Why are community resources valuable to families?
Community resources are valuable to families because it is hard to connect to community sometimes when families are focused on keeping their family functioning. It is important that communities have support systems for families because the families are a functioning part of our community as a whole and in order to have a strong community we must all support each other to the best of our abilities. These resources bring families together so that those who may not have family or friends are able to connect to other people for support as they raise their children.
