Why are community resources so important to families of young children?
If the families are supporting the children and providing the foundations for their childs early learning than it is important that the families also have necessary support. Without support it is more difficult to provide a consistent, healthy and nurturing environment in the home.

3.1 What kinds of community resources and referrals are typically needed by families with young children?
The kinds of community resources and referrals that are typically needed by families with young children are pediatricians, psychologists, dentists, speech and physical therapists, housing resources, educational resources, recreational resources, social resources and support groups for new parents.

3.2 Why are community resources valuable to families?
Community resources are valuable to families because children need medical, dental, vision and other types of evaluations and families need to be informed of the ways in which they can keep children mentally and physically healthy. Without these valuable resources, it is more challenging for families to provide stable, healthy home environments for their children.
