Safe equipment for the age such as a push or pull toy for outside or equipment for them to safely climb into, over, and under; as well as filing and dumping from containers in a supervised sandbox.

Children under the age of six should not spend large amounts of time in staff initiated large group activities. A daily schedule should be enacted, and routine will provide children with security.

Children under 6 should not spend long amounts of time doing things facilitated by adults. For toddlers, having a daily routine can help them feel secure and predict what will happen throughout their day. All infants and toddlers should have a variety of toys to utilize.
