1. My religious beliefs, aspirations in life, family history, and mental health are the biggest influences on my thinking and points of view. Being willing to examine those aspects of life, and being open to change what does not settle well with myself, is a huge part of my life.
2. I think people instinctively become defensive when interacting with individuals who do not share their same thoughts. But I do believe people can change their views and thoughts, or at least the way we carry out those thoughts in everyday life. Recognizing some things are more important than your own opinions, such as your child’s health and well being, can be a huge influence on whether you are open to changing your perspective. Changing your cultural surroundings from how you grew up is also a huge influence.
