Documentation through photos and artwork is helpful. Collecting work and notes and compiling it into a portfolio over a period of time can help demonstrate progress or struggles. Parent teacher conferences and meetings are essential in open communication regarding the development of children.

Sending home progress reports showing where a student has improved and where they still needs improvement. Including examples of a students work can help to illustrate these points while also showing families what their child has been working on and how they have been improving or struggling.
