Child development is such a crucial part of why kids attend child care and the best way to communicate to the parents (in my opinion) is to sit down with them and talk. Show them recent work the child has done, what social progresses they have made and what they have been recently learning. Let the families know what areas need more developing and how they can help at home.

Once again communication is the key to providing the best safe and learning environment for the child.  When it is necessary to speak to the parents you want to make sure you do it in a private area. Make sure you and the parent have time to talk and not be rushed. Be prepared for the parents response.Be supportive caring and respectful.
