2.1: What types of play materials, equipment and activities should you provide for children? What is needed in an outdoor environment? I teach preschool. Activities and materials that promote learning, imaginative play and problem solving are all important. In an outdoor environment, it is important to have equipment that promotes motor skills, coordination, upper body strength and spacial awarness.

2.2: What are some of the special requirements for infants and toddlers in an early learning environment? infants and toddlers need an environment that promotes safety, is engaging and colorful without being overwhelming or stimulating.

2.3: Is it necessary to have a daily schedule and routine for children? If so, why?
It is absolutely necessary to have a routine and schedule, consistency is helpful for development at this age.
