Things that influence my thinking are:
My own life experiences
Family/Friends close to me and their experiences
My education or previous jobs
And my culture.

I find that many peoples' views are different it is a negative thing, that brings up a lot of negative emotions from both parties. And not many can change another person's mind on what they believe. Everyone can see or hear the same thing, but have a completely different perspective about it. I think the only way to change someone's mind on something is to approach it in a positive and supportive way. To include everyone's beliefs even if you may disagree. If we engage children in the acceptance and appreciation of differences and similarities in people, it helps them better understand and accept diversity, while also helping them accept and understand their own.
