Honestly building respectful relationships with families is not hard, if you are open to their thoughts, religions and backgrounds you can easily incorporate those into your facility. Yes an understanding of diversity is much needed and you can only hope that the other families can respect you and the fellow families for their differences as well.

By creating a respectful and effective balance with the parent.Listening to the parent let them know their comments and concerns are important. Give the parent feedback each day. I end each day by telling the parent how their child's day went. I always end on a positive. Let the parent know their child's safety and well being is important.
