Encouraging those in parental/caregiver roles that what they do matters, that they are doing what is best even when it seems hard can be essential to helping them support their child’s development. Being open about their child’s struggles, and brainstorming ways to help the child that are reflected both at home and school, will be beneficial. The child’s development needs to be a main priority, and by creating a personal relationship with the caretakers of the child you can better aid the child’s development.
