I really like reading the information in this module because I feel like the info provided is very thorough when it comes to childhood development and meeting the learning needs of each stage. If a teacher/ professional is not tuned into each child and actively observing their social, emotional, and cognitive behavior, and then sharing that info with their coworkers and making notes/ following up on reports, then the provider will be unable to support and nurture that child in growing according to their learning styles and age. Having a knowledge about childhood development can be helpful in creating learning objectives for the lessons, for scaffolding the lessons, and for offering different ways to learn a skill-set based on learning styles/ the range of development.
