3.1. What kinds of community resources and referrals are typically needed by families with young children ?

Food first and foremost, but also education, health/med/dental insurance/services, housing, and any other basic needs, but also mental health and counseling.

3.2. Why are community resources valuable to families?

Not everyone makes a lot of money, and it can be really hard to make ends meet. Children can make finances even more stretched, so it's important for community resources to be available for any and all who need it.

1) What kinds of community resources and referrals are typically needed by families with young children ?

Housing, food, clothes, health care, school supplies, etc.

2) Why are community resources valuable to families?

Some families cannot afford to provide their child with all of those things, so those resources come in handy. Also, once the basic needs are accomplished, children are more able to succeed in different areas.

3.1
There are resources for housing, food, medical, as well as educational programs at schools, specifically for those with special needs or circumstances, and literacy programs for those who do not speak english as a first language.

3.2
These programs are important because they allow parents to have a greater chance of success, and allow them to feel supported in any needs they may have with their children.
