You need materials that let the children use their imaginations: loose pieces, household items, etc.
Objects that encourage gross motor: bikes, balls, space to run and jump.
Infants and toddlers need safe areas to explore and use their muscles but ot be protected from bigger children and small pieces.
A daily schedule is very important because children feel safe in routine.

For gross motor skills:  slide, swing, see-saw, monkey bars, bikes, balls
Infant and toddlers need safe areas and some area needs to have shade, separated from bigger children.
It is necessary to have a daily schedule and routines.  Routines and daily rituals provide children a sense of security.

For motor skills there should be things like slides, blasts, bikes, things to push and pull, climb, monkey bars, rock walls, ect
For younger children ther should be areas where there is shade and they should be separated from the older children

It's important to have a variety of things included in the classroom, different stimulating centers, such as make believe, quiet areas fro reading, blocks to build, and low walls so teachers can still supervise and engage with all children.

In an outdoor play area, you should have many different areas for them to engage with.  A playground is an outdoor classroom, and they need to have space to run and play, jump, discover, and have natural and soft landing areas. You also need to have sensory areas where children can dump and gather natural objects, helping them learn creativity, and science.
